Something's Better Than Nothing

Besides Mira Mesa (Tuesday), OB (Wednesdays) & Scripps Ranch on Saturday mornings, Kate & I still had some days to fill.  So, that first Thursday in July, I headed back out to try & lock something down.

Dave from the OB market had mentioned a small lunch time market in Rancho Bernardo (about a 40 minute drive away) at the Sony office building.  I did a walk through amongst the dozen or so (mostly hot food) tents.

"The fee's ten percent," he said.  "We got a spot right here if you want it next week.  Market runs from eleven to around one-thirtyish.  Just let me know Wednesday at OB."

From there, I stopped by the Linda Vista market, one I had visited five years ago.  Not much had changed from my last visit, it was still mostly arts & crafts with only a handful of food vendors.

The same could be said about North Park.  It was one of Brian's Markets & though he wasn't there that day, one of the ten hot food vendors set up was C&B.  The grilled cheese vendor who sent us a bogus catering request a few months prior.

"How'd it go?" Kate asked when I got home.

"Good.  We're going to Rancho Bernardo next Thursday," I said.  "It's a short market, but something's better than nothing."
